Who am I?

First and foremost I am the mother of 4 bright, challenging, kind and compassionate little humans. Graeme (10), Edith (8), Arthur (7) and Maeve (5) set me on my journey to switching from corporate work into Womens Health and I haven’t looked back. They are my reason for getting up everyday (literally, as they are all early risers) and the key drivers behind my addiction to caffeine.

In addition to being a Board Certified Lactation Consultant, I am also a current Breastfeeding Counsellor and Operations Manager with the Australian Breastfeeding Association, working regularly on the national Helpline and in the Sydney office. I have worked in newborn care at the Royal Hospital for Women Randwick and I ran free breastfeeding support clinics in both North Queensland and Coogee throughout Covid. These diverse experiences have provided me the opportunity to work with breastfeeding parents from all walks of life.

I pride myself on being inclusive and non-judgemental, working with mums to achieve their goals, first and foremost. I will be your biggest cheer squad and most passionate advocate. If you have any questions about me, my experience or my approach to care, I am an open book. Reach out and get in touch and I’ll do my best to put your mind at ease.

“I can’t recommend Ellen enough! She has seen me through three babies and all sorts of ups and downs (mine and the bubs!), and has always had not only a kind ear, but calm, thoughtful, well researched advice. I’ve trusted her as a Mum of 4 (that’s a resume in and of itself!) but she has also spent countless hours researching and educating and qualifying herself to make sure she can give the best help to Mums who need it. We, as a community, are lucky to have a resource like Ellen.”
